Sunday July 15th 2007 - Blenheim Palace and Combe

Info: A 7 mile walk starting in the village of Combe, Oxfordshire passing through the grounds of Blenheim Palace, including a section of the Oxfordshire Way. Route can be extended thought concensus of walkers

Sunday July 22nd 2007 - Ilmington, Ebrington & Hidcote
Grade: M1 (explained here)
Info: An 8 mile walk starting at Ilmington Roman Catholic Church this route takes you into the rolling Cotswold countryside taking in the picturesque villages of Hidcote and Ebrington along with Warwickshire's highest point to take in the views.. A selection of pubs in Ilmington offer the opportunity for a refreshing drink at the end of the walk.

Sunday July 29th 2007 - Bredon Hill from Ashton Under Hill

Info: A 7 mile walk from Ashton under Hill climb Bredon Hill (about 1000ft above sea level). There are great views, along the high level route, towards Elmey Castle and the Cotswolds, please car share to avoid congestion in the village. Arrangement nearer the time

Sunday August 5th 2007 - Kenilworth Castle and the Tipperary Trail

Info: An 8 Mile walks with a chance to see the castle, a fine baroque-style church of St John the Baptist in Honiley, and discover it's not a long way from Tipperary! Taking in the undulating Warwickshire country side and mixed woodland.

Sunday August 12th 2007 - Around Althorp
Grade: M1 (explained here)
Info: Venturing into pastures new, a 12 mile gentle walk in Northamptonshire (35 miles from Leamington), taking in Princess Diana's family home of Althorp, the Falconry centre at Holdenby and a stretch of the Midshires way.
Start Point: Outside Church (stone tower) in Harpole village. Please park responsibly on roadside. From Leamington take the Southam Road (A425) toward Daventry. Follow signs to M1 SOUTH, then over M1 onto the A4500, turn left after Travel Inn toward Harpole - continue along road through village to Church Click here for start point map

Wednesday August 15th 2007 - Kenilworth to Beausale

Info: Evening walk from Kenilworth Castle Car Park opposite the Queen and Castle Pub. Approximately 2 hours over the fields towards Beausale and return with drink at one of the local pubs.

Sunday August 19th 2007 - Malverns with Midsummer Hill

Info: 8 mile walk along and around the Malverns taking in the Herefordshire Beacon and Midsummer Hill. (Grade Easy to Moderate). Pub stop en-route. Bring packed lunch.

Saturday September 1st 2007 - Scenic bike ride with a difference
Grade: Cycling
Info: A 20 mile cycle through the Warwickshire countryside, with some well timed rests in beer gardens! . The route takes us along a pretty section of the Grand Union canal and then onto the well maintained disused railway line to Offchurch. Quiet and very scenic country lanes lead us into Long Ichington to the first refreshment stop after 5 miles, at the Green Man. The quiet lanes to Bascote Heath and on to Offchurch offer great views and a few short hills. Then, on to Hunningham to the Red Lion pub to take a relaxing break by the river. The final, slightly hilly loop of the journey takes us to Cubbington where we then re-trace our steps to Offchurch and head back to the start point, via a well-earned break at the White Lion in Radford Semele. Estimated time: 3.5 - 4 hours including pit stops.

Sunday September 2nd 2007 - Adlestrop, Cornwell and Oddington

Info: Much of this 8 mile walk follows Evenlode Valley, via easy paths and lanes, through quiet villages offering a remote feeling on the Gloucestershire Oxford border.

Sunday September 9th 2007 - Shipston & Great Wolford

Info: 12.5 miles. A walk dominated by church towers and spires. Lovely distant views and interesting villages en route.
